Billy McFarland Bio
Billy McFarland is the founder of FYRE and CEO of BZM, a company working across marketing, music, talent, events, and real estate. He is building one of the internet’s most public comebacks. Billy created the Fyre Festival orange tile campaign, one of the most studied organic marketing moments in social media
history, generating an estimated 400 million impressions in 24 hours. He coordinated hip hop talent for a presidential rally in the South Bronx that led every major news cycle. He successfully produced PHNX, a destination festival on a remote Caribbean island in Utila, Honduras that generated international media
coverage and launched BZM’s destination development thesis.
Through BZM, Billy works with founders, brands, and talent. Current projects include an invitation-only event in Turks and Caicos and an ongoing land development in Utila, Honduras. Billy has appeared on Good Morning America, NBC’s Today Show, Fox News, CNN, CBS Inside Edition,
and ABC News, and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Billboard, The Guardian, Hollywood Reporter, Page Six, and TMZ. He is currently starring in a feature documentary, is appearing on a major unscripted show, and is the subject of a musical about his life being produced by Rita Ora and Taika Waititi.
