Angie Pontani Bio
Angie Pontani, known as “The Italian Stallionette,” is one of today’s leading
burlesque performers, celebrated worldwide for her glamorous, high-style acts
and influential productions. A Queen of Burlesque (Miss Exotic World) and
award-winning entertainer, she has worked with major names including Lady
Gaga, Snoop Dogg, and Donatella Versace, and has performed on prestigious
stages from Lincoln Center to Las Vegas. Beyond the stage, Angie is a sought-after choreographer, consultant, and creative collaborator, as well as a
producer of major events like the New York Burlesque Festival and
Burlesque-A-Pades. Her work spans film, television, fashion, and fitness,
including her Go-Go Robics series and popular cooking blog. Based in Brooklyn, she frequently collaborates with her husband, bandleader Brian Newman, and co-hosts the arts-focused podcast Showing Off.

 

Brian Newman Bio
Brian Newman is a Grammy-winning producer, bandleader, trumpeter, vocalist, and creative director known for crafting distinctive live music experiences across film, television, and premier venues for over 25 years. Drawing from influences like Miles Davis, Chet Baker, and the Great American Songbook—alongside artists such as Nirvana, Willie Nelson, and Bruce Springsteen—he blends classic jazz with a modern edge. Newman has worked extensively with Lady Gaga, co-producing “La Vie En Rose” for A Star Is Born, serving as bandleader and arranger for her collaborations with Tony Bennett, and leading her Jazz & Piano Las Vegas residency. He also contributed to projects including Harlequin, Joker 2: Folie à Deux, and his own album on Verve Records. This summer newman will be releasing a new album, Songs for Lonely Lovers. Beyond recording, Newman curates and directs live music experiences worldwide, including residencies like AFTER DARK and projects with Bruno Mars, Jon Batiste, and elite venues from New York to Las Vegas. He frequently collaborates with his partner, burlesque artist Angie Pontani, on creative productions including their podcast Showing Off.
