Based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Waste blends elements from nearly every corner of heavy music, ranging from deathcore and metalcore to downtempo and hardcore.

Waste began on January 1, 2020, with the release of their debut EP The Cycle of Hatred. The band made their public debut just months before the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Later that year, they wrote and recorded their first full-length album, Pray for Nothing, with audio engineer and drummer for Bodysnatcher, Chris Whited. Shortly after, they signed their first record deal with Modern Empire Records.

Once the COVID-19 shutdown was lifted, the band wasted no time shifting gears to live performances, quickly establishing a regular touring schedule from 2021 through 2024. In 2023, they recorded a two-part EP—In Bloom and In Decay—which were released over the course of 2023 and 2024. Following these releases, they signed with Seek & Strike Records and embarked on their first headlining tour in May 2024.

Since their inception, Waste has remained highly active, continually striving to climb the ranks of their professional career.
